ORDER OF ACCEPTANCE FOR OTHERWISE QUALIFIED APPLICANTS St. Peter Catholic School typically accepts students according to the following categories:*
Siblings of current St. Peter Catholic School students;**
Children of territorial parishioners who are deemed active by the pastor***; Children of St. Peter Catholic School Alumni or legacy families as determined by the pastor
Children of territorial parishioners of a parish without a school or no room in their territorial parish school who are deemed active by their pastor;
Children of non-territorial parishioners of a parish without a school or no room in their territorial parish school who are deemed active by their pastor;
Children of active parishioners who live outside the territorial parish in a parish with a school that has no room in their parish school who are deemed active by their pastor
All others - including inactive parishioners, non-Catholics, etc.
* Meeting the above criteria does not guarantee automatic acceptance. ** Being a sibling and/or a parishioner does not guarantee automatic acceptance. ***Baptized Catholic children who are registered, active and supporting their parish as determined by their pastor NOTE: In the case of a student transferring from another Archdiocesan Catholic school, before granting admission, the principal will assess the status (academic, financial obligations, and disciplinary) of the student by conferring with the previous principal.
Tuition is paid through FACTS Tuition Management and may be paid in full on June 5th or through a Monthly Payment Plan which begins on June 5th and runs 10 months. The Monthly Payment Plan option incurs a School Processing Fee of $225 per student which is added to the monthly payment amount ($22.50 per student per month).
What does it mean to be "Registered", "Active" and "Supporting" for purposes of the Order of Acceptance? Being an active parishioner either at St. Peter Parish or at your home parish is a vital factor for the order of acceptance for St. Peter Catholic School. To be considered an active parishioner, your family should be registered, active and supporting at your home parish. Your status will be determined using theParish Support and Activity Form. Please be sure to fill this form out fully and accurately. While the below is the minimum, the ideal is to practice true stewardship of time, talent and treasure through active participation and weekly giving.
To be considered a registered parishioner, you must be a registered parishioner at the parish where you regularly attend mass on Sundays and Holy Days. Registration at another parish does not negatively impact the order of acceptance unless your parish also has a school. To register at St. Peter Catholic Church: https://stpeterparish.com/new-parishioner-registration
To be considered an active parishioner, you should regularly attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days at your parish. You should be involved in the community life in the parish where you are registered and participate in at least one parish ministry or apostolate. To learn about the different parish ministries and apostolates at St. Peter Parish, visit our parish website: https://stpeterparish.com/apostolates-and-organizations
To be considered a supporting parishioner, you should financially support your parish. The minimum donation to be considered a supporting parishioner is $450 per family during the prior calendar year. For the 2027-2028 school year, contributions from calendar year 2026 will be considered. Donations must be made to the “Weekly Offertory” fund using your envelopes or online with your envelope number. Contributions can only be credited to the person who is making the contribution. For example, a grandparent cannot make a contribution on behalf of a grandchild applying for school.
In return for your contribution, the church parish pays the School Support Fee of $350 per student for each school year that your family is considered supporting. If you are supporting at another parish, you can obtain a Parish Support Voucher from your parish office which indicates that they will pay your support fee for you.
What does "Territorial" mean? The order of acceptance refers to “territorial parishioner” which is primarily applicable on the Southshore where there are numerous parishes and schools delineated by geographic boundaries. For purposes of St. Peter Catholic School’s order of acceptance, parishioners who live within the territorial boundaries parishes without schools will be considered the same as St. Peter parishioners.
Does it matter when I submit the application?
No. All applications received by the published deadline will be considered according to the Order of Acceptance and not upon submission date. Applications received late will not be consdered until all timely applications are processed.
If there are circumstances in which a student must withdraw from St. Peter Catholic School, then the following refund policy will be implemented:
Students withdrawn between June 5th and August 31st will be charged one month’s tuition (one-tenth of the annual tuition). Students will receive a refund of the tuition for the remaining months of the school year.
Beginning on September 1st of the school year, students withdrawn between the 1st and 15th of the month will receive a refund of ½ the current month’s tuition plus the balance of the tuition for the remaining months of the school year. Students withdrawn after the 15th of the month will receive a refund of the tuition for the remaining months of the school year but will receive no refund for the month of withdrawal.
December and May: Any student enrolled for any portion of December or May will be responsible for the full month tuition payment. They will not be eligible for ½ month tuition refund.
Registration, non-parish support, and FACTS processing fees are non-refundable.
All financial obligations must be satisfied and all books returned before a tuition refund may be granted.
Parents should contact the office as soon as possible to complete all necessary paperwork. Please allow up to two weeks for a tuition refund
