Penny Flores

Penny Flores rejoined the St. Peter Catholic School Staff in 2020 as a Third Grade Teacher. She was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana. Penny received her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. She has trained in the Daily 5 Literacy Framework and Math Daily 3 Framework, and is certified in the Science of Reading through the AIM Institute for Learning and Research. Additionally, she earned certification as a Parish Catechetical Leader through the Archdiocese of New Orleans, while serving as Director of Religious Education for St. Peter Catholic Church from 2014 to 2020. Penny and her husband Rafael have two children, both students at St. Peter Catholic School. Penny has a heart for accompanying her students along their journey with Christ, as they embrace and cultivate their God-given gifts and abilities, thus becoming who He has created them to be.
