Amy Baiamonte Velado

Amy Baiamonte Velado joined St. Peter Catholic School for the 2026–2027 school year as a
Middle School Science teacher. A Louisiana native, she was born in Metairie and raised in the
Mandeville/Covington area. Amy attended St. Scholastica Academy – class of 2002. After
graduating from SSA, she continued her education at North Carolina State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Mathematics Education and a minor in Science.

Before joining the St. Peter Catholic School family, Amy taught Math and Science in both
private and public schools for the past 18 years. She loves teaching middle school and enjoys
motivating her students while making learning fun and engaging in the classroom. Taking pride
in the opportunity to teach at a Catholic school, Amy strives to share her faith and values to all ofher students. She is married, the proud mother of three children, and is excited that her two
youngest children will also be joining the St. Peter community as she begins this new chapter.
